Requested a Transmission Service when I inquired about the type of gasket material used on the Transmission Pan the owner was quick to dismiss my question and belittle my remark. I replied I was only seeking information! I should have stopped and realized that customer service was not his forte and moved on! FIRST RED FLAG, However he assured me his product line of gasket material had never faultered! I came to the shop as I was filling the paperwork one of the mechanics came out to assist in my request and misquoted the wrong transmission model on my vehicle! Second RED FLAG!||[] Being optimistic I had the service done! Two days later I noticed fluid leaking on my garage floor-TRANSMISSION FLUID! Took it back after an hour wait mechanic brought my vehicle in to diagnose! The young man that did the transmission service began to tighten the bolts on the transmission pan, I asked him what was the correct torque (tightness) on the bolt? He stated, "I do it by feel " as he proceeded to use a non torque ratchet to tighten the bolts! 115 inch pounds is the correct torque I later found out in my research! I asked several auto shops is it possible to accurately FEEL 115 inch pounds of torque? They just chuckled and shook their head! THIRD RED FLAG! ||[]||[]Ok so I took my vehicle to speciality shop, diagnosis was overtorqued bolts damaging the gasket! I stopped payment for service and sent them copies of new receipt disclosing discovery of new shop ! I will report back with results as I gave ample time to remedy the situation on their part!
